The SVRC has a fairly broad array of amateur radio equipment from HF to UHF, Base station to mobile. From our club station we can operate a vast array of modes on different bands and we are looking into ways to expand these capabilities..
Accourding to the club constitution and bylaws, "The Trustee shall control and supervise the operation of all Club owned communication equipment." The requirement is to hold a General Class license or higher. The Station Trustee acts as or delegates control operator responsibilities for the club callsign W9DUA .

We are proud to announce we have aquired the Athens 147.045+ repeater from the K9MCE Club and WS9V. This will remain linked to the Central Illinois Linked System as we are great partners with the K9MCE and AD9OV clubs that are also part of the system. We greatly appreciate WS9V and his many years keeping this system on the air.
The Hex Beam is in place and operational! After months of planning and organizing, the Hex Beam was pressed into service for the VHF contest on Saturday, June 8, 2019. The official antenna crew under the direction of senior club members, hauled heavy steel, concrete, and antenna components up to the Red Cross building roof in several stages. We now have extra directional capability for HF 20 meters and up – including 6 meters. This unique antenna certainly gives our club location a distinctive visual footprint with the upside-down umbrella design.
The SVRC now has a public status page so members can check the status of our systems. This helps us remain transparent if you are experiencing issues with one of our systems. To visit the system visit:

Several solutions were discussed. On, Monday 6/11/2018 a notch filter providing about 35Db of attenuation at the offending frequency was installed.
Updated: The issues with the W9DUA DStar repeater have been repaired. A new network switch as been installed restoring the connectivity. The club would like to formally thank N9PUZ for the previous router that had been in service for about 7 years. This location is a harsh environment during the summers. the new router is rated for high temperatures.
