Field Day 2025 is almost here! ARRL Field Day is the most popular on-the-air event held annually in the US and Canada. On the fourth weekend of June, more than 31,000 radio amateurs gather with their clubs, groups or simply with friends to operate from remote locations. This year, Field Day will take place from 1pm on Saturday, June 28 through 1pm on Sunday, June 29. We will be operating from our Open Hours site at the Franciscan Brothers property (old Brother James Court), 4595 Laverna Road, Springfield. Our site has several indoor operating positions and is air conditioned! This is a great opportunity to operate HF as we try to make as many contacts with others around the county and around the world in 24 hours, especially for new hams or those without a lot of HF operating experience. For Technician Class hams, you can get on the air on all HF bands as there will be experienced control operators who can show you the ropes. For those that know people not yet hams, bring them out and we can get them on the air too!
